HiCo iLS.Suite™

The solution for Integrated Product Support (IPS)

  • Overview

  • System Requirements

The HiCo iLS.Suite® is the central application for Integrated Product Support (IPS) - also known as Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) - and Technical Documentation with the HiCo ietdSuite® as core component. Integrate and manage the data from different IPS segments and external applications and prepare them for business-wide use or for delivery to end users. All modules (refer to module description) are based on the specifications of the ASD (S2000M, S3000L, S4000P and S5000F) and thus ensure data exchange with third-party systems.

The range of functions of the HiCo ietdSuite® is enhanced with the following specific modules and is available as HiCo iLS.Suite™ for integration and processing of technical-logistic product and service information.

integrated Material Management

Integrated supply support for complex and long life technical systems and products as part of IPS-processes.

The Integrated Material Management enables the neutral management of material data independent from the chosen TechDoc-Standard and the usual specificataions for material management. This can be summarized to material or parts lists. With the aid of the integrated MaterialSetter the editors get a convenient tool to insert material data into the Technical Documentation. Additional material processes allow the controlled export/import of materials and to update these automatically within the data modules. Additional material checks allow the quick identification of data errors.

IPS-Program Management

Support for IPS-/ILS-Manager in Integrated Product Support (IPS)

The IPS-Pogram Management is the central configuration component for all IPS disciplines. The products, fleets, batches, etc. that belong to a ILS-Program can be managed and processed according to the product configuration. In addition, structured publications in the HiCo ietdSuite® in different TechDoc-Standards as well as unstructured information provided by external suppliers can be managed together and published for use in EndCustomer Applications.

IPS-Product Configuration Management

Product Configuration Management in IPS-process with possibly in interaction with CAx-/PLM-systems of Product Engineering.

The IPS-Product Configuration Management module (requires HICO iLS.Suite®:PMiS and HICO iLS.Suite®:iMAM) manage the Product Breaksdown and their configuration for different products or customers. This is therefore the binding guidlines for the Supporting Design Analysis and Maintenance Programs. By assigning Device Types to Breakdown Elements, specific products and materials can be defined. Via appropriate interfaces existing product configurations can be imported/exported from third-party systems.

Maintenance Programs

Development and continuous improvement of maintenance programs for complex and long life technical systems and products as part of IPS-processes.

The Maintenance Programs (requires HICO iLS.Suite®: iPCM) manage the core elements of the LSA, which are used in the supporting processes. In the MRO-Project the necessary maintenance-, material-, troubleshooting- and documentation- processes can be managed with appropriate trainings. Procedural data modules can be automatically generated from the defined tasks with the corresponding LSA/Project-specific information for the Technical Documentation. In addition, during the creation process, data can be synchronized between other LSA systems and LSA reports can be created continuously.

Supporting Design Analysis

Supporting Design Analysis in the Integrated Product Support (IPS) to the design- and product engineering organizations with the obective of the optimization of supportability and maintainability of technical systems and products.

The aim of the Supporting Design Analysis (requires HICO iLS.Suite®: iMAPI) is to improve the safety and reliability verification of products. This includes the System Analysis inlucing FMEA according ATA MSG-3 / ASD S4000P  to optimize the serviceability and maintainability of a product. The defined requirements for a product can be automatically converted into task or existing tasks can be converted into corresponding requirements for analysis. The data can be exchanged with third-party systems via defined interfaces. Reports like MMP, MTL, ALS, SMP, etc. can be generated automatically from the determined data.

core PSA-/LSA-Interfaces

Provision of an interface for the process and system integration of external Product- and Logistic Support Analysis-data (PSA/LSA) as relevant basic support data for Integrated Product Support-processes (IPS) in the HICO iLS.Suite®.

With the core PSA-/LSA-Interfaces (requires HICO iLS.Suite®:iMaPI) generated logistic data from other applications (like e.g. Opus10) can be exchanged and managed.

Delivery Management & Performance Tracking

The Delivery Management and Performance Tracking manages all incoming and outgoing data deliveries of ILS Programs or TechPub-Projects and stores these permanently and protected in the central repository of the HiCo iLS.Suite®. This allows to clearly track the deliveries incl. delivery note even though they occurred many years ago.

integrated Feedback and Change Management

The integrated Feedback and Change Management enhances the functions of the Program Management & Management Information System, to be able to manage the whole change history of all involved products and components. In additional there is a harmonization tool available, which manages and harmonizes the notes or change requests to technical publications of the use system (Online/Offline browser) and to make the changes available to the editors.

enhanced Quality Management Solution

The enhanced Quality Management provides functions for planning QA tasks. This includes the management of deliveries (needs the Delivery Management and Performance Tracking), the planning of the QA tests and the collection of all automatically generated and manually created test protocols. Test reports can be summarized and passed on centralized to the supplier and can thus be traced. For the automatic tests Business Process Packages are available.
