HiCos competence for FACCs Boeing 787 - Dreamliner project
The Boeing 787 - Dreamliner completed in December 2009 succescully its first flight in the USA. On board of this flight were various components of FACC AG, one of the world's leading companies in the development and production of advanced fiber reinforced composite components for the aviation industry.
FACC developed and produced for their customer, the Goodrich Cooperation from the USA, the Translating Sleeve for the Boeing 787 - Dreamliner. This unit has a newly developed, double-degree acoustic surface, as well as an undulated engine nozzle, used for the first time on an airplane, allow for a considerable reduction of noise emissions.
With our network partner ASN Aviation Service Network, HiCo delivers for the Translating Sleeve "Components Maintenance Manuals (CMM)". FACC trusts thereby in the long-time experience and know-how of HiCo and ASN at the creation and maintenance of interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (iETMs) which are produced on base of iETD (interactive Electronic Technical Documentation) requirements and guidelines according to the international established standard for technical publications within civil aviation, ATA iSpec2200.
HiCo is delighted to be able to support, beside Frequentis AG and Air Ambulance Technology GmbH, FACC as another well-known customer from the Austrian aviation supplier industry at their innovative projects.
