3rd HiCo-ICS Board of Customer Advisory (BoCA)

BoCA 2011

Already for the third time, our users meeting the 3rd HiCo-ICS Board of Customer Advisory (BoCA) took place from September 21 to 22, 2011, this time at the picturesque location of Rust at Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland, Austria.

The well-known guest lecturers and HiCo-ICS employees offered a diversified programme with interesting key-note speeches, exciting presentations and vivid live demos to the over 70 expert participiants of this year´s BoCA. Thereby, the focus was of-course on the products of HiCo-ICS and their practical utilization in international projects.

Keynote speeches, practical presentations and live software-demos

The 3rd HiCo-ICS BoCA was opened by Chief Marketing Officer Rainer Sommer, followed by the lecture of HiCo-ICS CEO Werner M. Schadelbauer, who presented the further strategic position and future ventures of the company.

Prof. Dr. Steffen Steinicke, professor for Industrial Service Management at the faculty for Business Administration at the Hochschule Munich, served as the "key-note speaker" of the 3rd BoCA. His lecture "Vorsprung durch Technik Service" was a plea for more services in industrial production and creation of value.

Ralf Könsgen, Senior Consultant at BGS AG from Siegburg, Germany spoke in his presentation about the advantages of "Logistic Support Analysis" as integrated solution and its specific utilization within the project Sukhoi Superjet SSJ100 of company FACC, where the product Windchill QA (RELEX) from PTC is in operation.

The challenges of distributed technical publications and their management in their own programme PC-21, was the content of the presentation of IT Application Engineer Pascal Herger of Pilatus Aircraft. The vivid live demo about the realization with the products by HiCo-ICS in the programme PC-21 was done by Gebhard Maurer, HiCo-ICS.

Since HiCo-ICS is long-term partner of Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), also a lecture of PTC could not be missed at the HiCo-ICS BoCA: Sascha Neelen, Channel Manager Technical Publishing Solutions EMEA at PTC, explained and showed the newest innovations of PTC product families Arbortext and Creo to the participants.

Highlights of the new product releases, the global road-map and the short and long-term perspectives of the HiCo-ICS product portfolio were the topics of the presention by HiCo-ICS Head of Software Development, Christian Lipp.

Last but not least Dipl. Ing. Dr. techn. Johannes Weidl-Rektenwald from company XION concluded the first BoCa day with his lecture about "Integrated Technical-Logistical Systems (ITLS) as a Challenge to Technics and Project Management". Upon his analysis he showed, that HiCo-ICS products are state-of-the-art in software architecture and are well-equipped for future challenges.
