X-Browser™ was certified to JAR-OPS

The HiCo X-Browser™, a retrieval tool for technical-logistical data and interactive electronic technical manuals (iETMs), obtained the approval under the Joint Aviation Requirements (JAR-OPS 1.1040(m)) within the certification of the LPC-solution (Less Paper Cockpit) of HLF by the German Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA).

Our longterm customer Hapag-Lloyd currently uses the HiCo X-Browser™ in the 4th generation as a basis for the Paperless Cockpit (Electronic Flight Bag). In this way it was necessary to obtain the permission for the operation of the software aboard an aircraft.

The most important industrialized countries developed with JAR series of regulations covering the whole aviation, which is implemented in the national law and monitored by national aviation authorities. These replace national regulations so that a harmonised set of standards and high security standards are applied by all states.
