ASD S1000D®, S2000M, S3000L and ATA iSpec2200 are up-to-date and future-oriented e-Business standards for technical publications and product documentations, for materiel management and for integrated logistics solutions.

Our lectures, trainings and workshops address managers and decision makers, who will get valuable decision support for future investments based on the delivered content, and project managers or technical editors, who will gain insight into concepts, processes and the practical utilization of these international standards for the civil and military industry.

S1000D® - The leading Specification

The international specification S1000D® is an up-to-date and future-oriented standard for the creation, quality assurance, publication and distribution of Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP) based on a Common Source Data Base (CSDB). During this training you will get a short overview of the basic principles and processes of S1000D®. Furthermore you will gain an insight into the importance of StyleGuides and project specifications to manage S1000D® projects.  The delivered content will give you an orientation and decision support for future projects, contracts or investments for technical-logistic information systems.

S1000D® – Hands-On Experience

The international specification S1000® is an up-to-date and future-oriented standard for the creation, quality assurance, publication and distribution of Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP) based on a Common Source Data Base (CSDB). This training will give you an insight into the concepts and the importance of the specification S1000D®.You will get an overview of the relevant business processes and procedure models where S1000D® should be used.  The delivered content will give you an orientation and decision support for future projects, contracts or investments for technical-logistic information systems.

S1000D® - Basic Knowledge for Authors

Based on SGML/XML and CGM the standard S1000D® enables the output of technical publications in print as well as in electronic formats. The source information exists in a „neutral“ format and can be used and processed in different IT systems. This specific characteristic makes the standard S1000D® such attractive, as you will get to know in this training with the goal of practical applications.

S1000D® - Best Practice for Authors

The aim of this training is the realization of an S1000D® sample project. You will gain an insight into modularization and you will learn to handle the most important information structures such as „description“, „procedure“, „schedule“, „fault isolation“ and „IPD“).

S2000M – General Overview

This training contains a short overview on AECMA Spec 2000M Rev. 2.1 and ASD S2000M Issue 4.0, the international standards for the creation of Material Management Documentaiton in military aviation. You will get an insight into the current orientation as well as into possible future perspectives in the environment of Material Support.

ASD SPEC 2000M Issue 2.1 Chg. 4 – Author’s Basics and Advance

SPEC 2000M offers the base for the creation of spare parts documentation. It describes procedures and basic relationships. Customer and contractor have to agree on the usage of the procedures. The use or disuse of specific data elements can have a great impact on the creation efforts and therefore on the costs.
Our training provides the knowledge how to use procedures and how to implement definitions.

ASD SPEC 2000M Issue 2.1 Chg. 6 – Author’s Basics and Advance

After the decision to use SPEC 2000M in general at future projects by the armed forces services Army, Air Force and Navy, the necessity arises to use implementation rules for the interoperability between different armed forces.
These implementation rules (DB SPEC 2000M) cover the association between the TSK offices, the BWB, the LogABw and the industry at the national application of the SPEC 2000M.
They contain definitions for the interoperability between different armed forces and different projects for those areas, where SPEC 2000M leaves freedom to make own decisions.

ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English

During this course you will get to know the rules of Technical English (STE) and you will learn how to use them with the aid of practical exercises.

ATA iSpec 2200 – General Overview

During this training you will get a short overview of ATA iSpec 2200, the international standard for the creation of technical documentation for civil aviation.

ATA iSpec 2200 – Author's Basics

This training will give you an insight into the importance of the standard ATA iSpec 2200. Furthermore you will get an overview of the manual types, structures and implementation.

ATA iSpec 2200 – Author's Advance

This training will give you an overview of the concepts of the standard from the practical application’s perspective.

ILS – Integrated Logistic Support - General Overview

Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) is a method to manage the integration of all relevant Logistics Support elements into your product’s Life Cycle in its entirety – covering all periods from System Design to Disposal. The training session will explain the different ILS Elements. The processes and procedures ILS consists of are not performed once but constantly during the product’s Life Cycle. As a result, ILS strongly interacts with Life Cycle Management (LCM) or Life Cycle Integration (LCI) to achieve reducing Life Cycle Costs (LCC).

LSA – Logistic Support Analysis - General Overview

To consult LSA Data during the Design Phase of a product or a system means to identify influencing factors in terms of Logistic Support. Performing LSA at an early stage will result in cost savings and quality improvement for production and, of course, reduced maintenance costs during the usage of the system. Especially the following ILS Elements greatly benefit from the LSA process: Facilities & Infrastructure, Technical Information & Data, Supply Support ,Support and Test Equipment, Training and Training Support, Personnel. In every phase of a project LSA processes can be found. The results of those LSA processes are eventually merged in a custom-fitted ‚Maintenance Concept‘.
